NASHVILLE The Nashville Predators placed forward Filip Forsberg on injured reserve Friday in just one of their updates on an injury list that keeps growing longer.
The Predators also said rookie forward Eeli Tolvanen (lower body injury) and defenceman Dante Fabbro (upper body injury) now are week to week.
Right wing Mathieu Olivier will miss four to six weeks with a lower body injury after being hurt in the second period of Thursday night s 7-1 win over Detroit. After a gut-wrenching overtime loss to the Nashville Predators on Tuesday, the Dallas Stars bounced back on Thursday to take care of business in regulation, winning 4-1.
The first period was mostly up-and-down, starting with an early goal by Esa Lindell and a late one by Colton Sissons. But the Stars shut down the Predators in the middle frame, outshooting them 13-4, although only Jason Robertson found the back of the net. An early third period powerplay goal by Jamie Benn gave them a secure lead, and ultimately Miro Heiskanen scored an empty-netter to put it all away.
