We just have to go back to the drawing board. That’s pretty much all I can say on that end. I thanked our seniors for their sacrifice and commitment. I just thanked them for having a chance to coach them. Obviously, it’s a new season as we go into the SEC Tournament. We have to regroup and get ready for that.”

Aliyah Matharu posted a game-high 19 points along with three steals. She came alive in the second half, as her play decided the game’s outcome. Also in double-figures were fellow guard Myah Taylor and forward Jessika Carter. While the Bulldogs came up big offensively, they were also formidable on defense. They forced 19 turnovers on the night, as Taylor was most responsible having posted a team-high four steals. Now back on a winning streak, the Bulldogs look to have returned to form. Mississippi State must show up on both ends of the floor going forward, as they will play host to Missouri Sunday afternoon.
