The owner of Black Sheep Pizza is bringing back his short-lived barbecue joint, with plans to open a brewpub in Minneapolis North Loop this spring.
Jordan Smith of Black Sheep Pizza is teaming up with Darin Jensen, the head brewer at Rapids Brewing Co. in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, on StormKing Brewpub & BBQ, which is taking over the former ONE Fermentary and Taproom space at 618 N 5th St. (it closed last year), which is redesigning the space that s just down the street from Target Field.

Caribou Coffee is joining other fast-food restaurants in offering plant-based meats on their menu.
The Minnesota-based coffee chain on Wednesday announced it has added a vegetarian breakfast sandwich to its menu, which will be available starting Thursday, March 4.

A 100% plant-based restaurant is opening in Wayzata this spring, with more locations expected to follow.
Stalk & Spade is taking over the former Starbucks (it closed last fall) in downtown Wayzata at 740 E. Lake St., steps from Lake Minnetonka.
The concept from Steele Smiley, who is the CEO of Wayzata-based Crisp & Green, will be right across the street from the flagship Crisp & Green restaurant.
The restaurant is built on the notion that great-tasting, healthy food should also be accessible and convenient, Stalk & Spade s LinkedIn page says.

Brit s Pub is set to reopen this spring after it was burned during a riot in downtown Minneapolis in August.
The popular pub posted on social media Wednesday saying We miss you. We need to get together soon. Like, really soon. Reopening spring 2021.
Brit s Pub was damaged in August after a riot broke out following false rumors that Minneapolis police had shot a Black man on Nicollet Mall. Instead, as police approached the suspect of an earlier fatal shooting at a parking ramp, the suspect fatally shot himself.
