MYSURU: The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) joined hands with various NGOs to open a reverse quarantine facility in the city, to help those who test negative for Covid-19, to isolate themselves from members of their family who test positive for the disease.
This centre has been set up in a private school in the city, and a person can get admitted here free-of-cost. The centre is named as Vatsalya Kendra (centre of love and affection).
Arogya Bharati, GSS foundation and Shri Jain Swethambar Terapanth Samaj, joined hands with the MCC to launch this centre. Mysuru Urban Development Authority (Muda) chairman H V Rajiv has provided space at his Pramati Hillview Academy for this centre.

MYSURU: In 20 days, 24 companies donated Rs 12.53 crore towards the Covid-19 management in the district under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Participating in a virtual meeting with industrialists on Tuesday, the DC Rohini Sindhuri informed that funds are utilized for the Covid-19 management.
“In the district, 54 companies are eligible to give funds under CSR. As many as 41 companies have come forward to give funds. Various companies also donated ICUs, oxygen concentrators, ambulances, medical kits, oxygen plant PPE kits, and other medical equipment,” Sindhuri said.
She thanked Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Shilpa Nag, additional DC BS Manjunatha Swamy, District Industries Center joint director DK Lingaraju, MCC executive engineer Mruthyunjaya Swamy and team of officials who worked to mobilise the CSR funds.
