Southampton residents most trustworthy in country SOUTHAMPTON residents are the most trustworthy in the country according to new research. A nationwide survey commissioned by developer and manager of retirement communities, McCarthy Stone found that Southampton is the most likely area for residents to trust a neighbour with a key. The survey found that 58 per cent of residents would trust a neighbour with a key, the highest percentage in the whole country. Second place was Plymouth with 56 per cent with Glasgow, Belfast and Newcastle making up the rest of the top five respectively.
