A jury that reached a deadlock has been told to continue deliberating on 21 counts of child sexual abuse against a Sydney swim coach, hours after finding him not guilty of five alleged offences against a female student.
Kyle Daniels, 22, has faced a seven-week trial in the NSW District Court accused of inappropriately touching nine young girls, aged between 5 and 10, at Mosman Swim Centre. He pleaded not guilty to 26 charges relating to 23 alleged incidents in 2018 and 2019.

The jury found Mr Daniels not guilty of five of the charges, relating to one of the girls, after three hours of deliberations on Thursday. They were sent away to keep deliberating on the remaining 21 charges.

The jury in the trial of Mosman swim coach Kyle Daniels, accused of inappropriately touching nine young girls, has retired to deliberate on its verdict.
Mr Daniels, 22, stands accused in the NSW District Court of 26 charges relating to 23 incidents involving female swim school students aged between five and 10 in 2018 and 2019. He has pleaded not guilty to touching the girls on or near their genitals, telling the court last week the incidents did not happen .
