WCCB Charlotte s CW April 30, 2021 COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Richland County Sheriff’s Office in Columbia, SC could soon make a return to televisions across the nation. According to West Metro News, Sheriff Leon Lott says the station is currently negotiating with A&E for a return to the television show Live PD. That’s a program that follows police departments around the country while officers were out on patrol. The show has been off the air since last summer, following the protest of police brutality in the wake of the death of George Floyd. But a blast from the past, Tim Tebow, is also trying to make his way back into the sport. The former Jets and Broncos quarterback has reportedly reached out to the Jacksonville Jaguars requesting an opportunity to try out as a tight end. According to the NFL Network, the Jaguars have had “at least some discussion” of signing him. Tebow has not played in the league since 2012 with the Jets. After his football career, he attempted to make it in professional baseball as an outfielder with the New York Mets organization. From 2016 to 2019, he played in the minor leagues, making it as high as Triple A.

The world’s largest retailer has filed a complaint with the US Patent and Trademark Office, saying West’s design looks too much like the logo it has been using since 2007. Walmart’s logo uses 6 straight lines coming from a center circle to resemble the rays of the sun. West’s proposed new logo for his Yeezy brand is a similar pattern, but the lines are made up of a series of dots and there are eight of them. Walmart says West’s design is, “likely to cause confusion and lead to consumer deception.”

In the latest case, comedian and talk show host Steve Harvey finds himself at the helm of controversy after someone re-posted a snippet from a 2010 interview Harvey did on CNN. In it, Harvey explains why he has no female friends and why men and women cannot be platonic friends. Harvey says, “There’s some guy somewhere saying, ‘Yeah, we’re friends.’ No. that’s not true. He’s your friend only because you have made it absolutely clear that nothing else is happening except this friendship we have. We remain your friends in hopes that one day there will be a crack in the door, a chink in the armor, and trust and believe that guy that you think is just your buddy, he will slide in that crack the moment he gets that opportunity.
