The Five Satins may be best-known for their hit In The Still of the Night (recorded in the basement of St. Bernadette Church in Morris Cove no less!), but many of the New Haven doo-wop sensations players truly shine
here, alongside another New Haven gem, Hilly Boy Michaels. Michaels performed with and toured with Sparks, the very band whose documentary is in theaters right now, directed by the brilliant Edgar Wright.
Still yet another exemplary CT artist, Charlie Farricielli, who has performed for 30 years with the aforementioned artists, as well as Michael Bolton s talented brother Orrin, corralled them all, and many more, to make this short film. And to record this ode to the greatest country there is. Enjoy!

Tweed New Haven airport announces $70 million expansion
Thomas Breen :: New Haven Independent
Avports CEO Jorge Roberts, right, with Sean Scanlon, said his company will invest $70 million in the improvements.
Tweed New Haven is embarking on a $70 million privately funded expansion, with a new four-gate, 74,000 square-foot terminal and daily service from a new airline.
The announcement marks a new chapter in the decades-long saga of the quest of New Haven business leaders to increase air travel from the city in the hope of luring more employers, and against the concerns of neighbors and environmentalists who consider it an environmentally dangerous and ultimately economically doomed quest, especially given rising sea levels.
