Delaying second doses of the Covid-19 vaccine so that as many Americans as possible can get the first dose is "not necessarily" what Dr. Anthony Fauci recommends, he said Wednesday.
WASHINGTON (AFP): US President Joe Biden has a higher approval rating after one week in office than Donald Trump did in his entire presidency, a new poll found Wednesday (Jan 28).
WEST LONG BRANCH – President Joe Biden begins his term with the support of a majority of Americans, who hope the Republican minorities in Congress will work with him instead of keeping him in check.
According to a Monmouth University poll, 54% of poll respondents approve of Biden, while 30% disapprove and 16% have no opinion. The approval rating is higher than any point during President Donald Trump s four-year term, according to the poll s history.
That support is largely along party lines: About 90% of Democrats have a favorable opinion of him, while just 47% of independents and 15% of Republicans support Biden. Overall, there seems to be more goodwill for Biden than there was for Trump, but it really breaks down along partisan lines, said Patrick Murray, director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute. Right now, more people identify as Democrats than Republican.
