While still in a holding pattern on presenting future productions, Crossroads Theatre Company invites audiences to revisit its past online.
The New Brunswick-based theater will post “Crossroads: The Story of a Theatre” on its website for on-demand viewing from April 6 to May 2.
The hourlong documentary was produced by NJN, the New Jersey Network, in 1996, filmed in the years just following Crossroad’s move to its previous home at 7 Livingston Ave. (It has seen moved to its home at the new New Brunswick Performing Arts Center). The documentary traces Crossroads’ history through archival footage, photographs and interviews, including some of the stars that have graced its stage, such as Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis .
