Three new matches have been added for Impact s next pay-per-view, Hard to Kill.
Sami Callihan will face Eddie Edwards in a barbed wire massacre match. Their match at the end of tonight’s Impact main event ended in a no contest when the video screen showed Edwards’ wife Alisha caged in somewhere in the backstage area. Edwards went to save her, but it was a trap as Callihan s associate Ken Shamrock jumped Edwards as he approached the cage. Callihan then came in and attacked Edwards with a bat.
A six-man tag team match has also been set for Had to Kill. Eric Young, Cody Deaner & Joe Doering will face Tommy Dreamer, Rhino & Cousin Jake in an old school rules match (a no DQ and no countout match). Rhino & Jake faced Deaner & Doering on tonight’s show, with Deaner getting the win over Jake after a low blow. Dreamer made the save for the team after the match and issued the challenge.
Hard To Kill next Saturday on pay-per-view.
During their interview, Swann and the Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) mentioned how sick and tired they are of the AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Anderson) coming in and destroying the empire they’ve built in Impact. Mad about their challenger’s superiority, they took it upon themselves to confront Omega and The Good Brothers, who were sitting in Omega’s bus earlier on in the show.
When they knocked on Omega’s bus door, they were jumped by the AEW World and Impact Tag Team Champions on the outside. Neither Swann nor MCMG had a fighting chance. Omega even cracked a joke by saying that his challengers were “Easy to kill.”
Jeremy’s Impact Wrestling Review 1.5.21
Hello there, Impact fans! It’s Tuesday and that means it’s time for another episode of Impact Wrestling. I’m Jeremy, and y’all know how this works. Or actually, you don’t because this is going to be a little different. I will not be able to do a full recap as normal this week, as Impact is no longer sending out screeners and I can’t live recap as full and focus on news posting. As such, this will be a much briefer coverage than usual. We’re looking for someone who can give you weekly live coverage. Either way, I’ll still be watching weekly because dammit, this company has won me over in the past six months. Anyway, let’s jump right in!
