Some of the sculptures made by the students of ITI Bhubaneswar
BHUBANESWAR: Students and faculty members of Government ITI-Bhubaneswar have used their free time to create 25 sculptures from waste materials. The institution is shut since April 19.
They have used scrap like gears, chain, chain crank, piston and piston rod, spring, nut and bolt, fly wheel, spark plugs and other defunct machine parts. The designs were finalised by the faculty of welder and titter trades, while the students worked on those.
Jeetamitra Satpathy, principal of Government ITI Bhubaneswar, said 10 students with the help of their faculty have made replica of seahorse, octopus, penguin, turtle, flamingo, eagle, owl, frog, horse, vintage rail engine, guitar, motorcycle, pineapple, flies and coconut tree.
