The District and Sessions Judge raised doubts over the first information report (FIR) filed by
Chaturshringi police while granting
bail to accused Lalit Sasane who was allegedly pushed from the fifth floor of a building in Balewadi. The
court observed a difference in the time of the alleged incident stated in the
FIR and the admission of the accused to Sassoon General Hospitals (SGH) and stated that the offence filed seems to have been fabricated with an intent to implicate Sasane, who had reportedly, in fact, informed the police about the whereabouts of other absconding accused.
