Centre County reported eight new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday to increase its total to 16,971, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health. It was the county’s most new cases since May 27.
Pennsylvania added 569 positives its largest single-day increase since June 5 bringing the statewide total to 1,217,332.
The county also reported 56 negative test results, bringing its total to 72,121. Statewide, there were 4,071 new negatives for a total of 4,852,775.
According to the DOH hospital preparedness dashboard, four COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in Centre County, one more than on Monday. None are in intensive care or on ventilators.
Pennsylvania has 280 COVID-19 inpatients, an increase of six since Monday, with 54 in intensive care [+5] and 36 on ventilators [+5].
