The Baltimore Ravens are playing in arguably the toughest division in football, and they currently sit as the third-best team with a 9-5 record. Not that I have to remind the great readers of Giants Country, but the best record in the NFC East is Washington’s 6-8.
Both the Giants and the Ravens desperately need this victory. Baltimore is on the outside looking in on three AFC wild-card spots currently held by the 10-4 Browns, the 10-4 Colts, and the 9-5 Dolphins.
“That’s contact tracing,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday. “So, we don’t have any positive tests with those guys; hopefully, we won’t. You see it all around the league; guys are put on that list for that reason. So, there’s just a lot of that out there. They won’t be able to practice for a few days, which is disappointing, but it is a reality of what we’re dealing with this year. So, we’ll just have to deal with it. We’re hoping and praying that they don’t turn up to have it.”
WR Dez Bryant
The Ravens activated wide receiver Dez Bryant Tuesday afternoon after he spent five days on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, paving the way for Bryant to rejoin the team this week in practice and for Sunday s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Bryant was denied an opportunity to face his former Dallas Cowboys team long before kickoff after producing a positive test on Dec. 8. He missed that game and Monday night s game against the Cleveland Browns.
Bryant was distraught after not being able to face the Cowboys and tweeted that he was going quit for the rest of the season. Later that night, he told a follower that he was coming back.
