Switzerland-based Climeworks, a global leader in direct air carbon capture, has announced a partnership with Omani decarbonisation start-up 44.01 to harness the potential of the Sultanate’s unique geology to remove carbon dioxide – the greenhouse gas chiefly responsible for global warming and climate change.

Jakarta. Indonesian digital services company Gojek and Tokopedia have unveiled on Monday that they had agreed to combine the former s mobile on-demand services and payments platform and the latter s marketplace into GoTo Group, creating a new $18-billion entity that encompasses about two percent of the country s economic output.
Gojek and Tokopedia would continue operation as stand-alone brands under the GoTo ecosystem alongside a new brand of GoTo Financial, which comprises Gojek s payment system Gopay and other financial services offering.

PARIS: France reached its target of injecting 20 million initial doses of coronavirus vaccines on Saturday, days ahead of a hugely anticipated reopening of restaurant terraces, part of an easing of the nationwide lockdown.
President Emmanuel Macron announced the milestone in a tweet that said 20 million with a green checkmark, a number that represents around 30 percent of the population. Health officials said the exact figure was 20,086,792; with 8,805,345 people having also had a second vaccine dose.
