Hampshire police said that a third vehicle, a Mercedes, was caught up in the pile-up – which blocked part of the M275.
Hampshire Constabulary has not confirmed the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The News: ‘The female officer who was driving the police vehicle has been taken to hospital as a precaution and another driver is suspected to have whiplash injuries.
‘Two of the cars have been recovered and the road is now open. No further details are available currently.’
