Deadly Woodward Stabbing 11:24 pm
According to the Centre County District Attorney’s office, the victim of Thursday’s stabbing in Woodward was involved in a domestic incident prior to his death.
Investigators say around 4:30 a.m., troopers were dispatched to a residence along the 200 block of Mountain Ave, in Haines Township, for a report of an unresponsive male.
Troopers say they discovered the victim, identified as 26-year-old Robert William Farwell, of Spring Mills, had been stabbed.
Authorities say Farwell was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
The DA’s office says they are investigating Farwell’s death as a homicide that resulted from a domestic dispute.
WOODWARD A Centre County man was the victim of a stabbing on Thursday.
According to a news release from the Centre County District Attorney’s office, the victim, Robert William Farwell was found unresponsive outside a private residence along Mountain Avenue in Haines Township, Centre County. Pennsylvania State Police received the call around 4:30 a.m.
According to the release, EMS was providing life-saving measures when troopers arrived on scene. Farwell was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is a homicide in relation to a domestic incident. There is no immediate threat to the public, the release said. The investigation is being conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police Troop G Major Case Team in conjunction with the Centre County District Attorney’s office.

STATE COLLEGE The Centre County District Attorney’s Office is investigating a homicide that happened early Thursday morning.
About 4:30 a.m., state police responded to the 200 block of Mountain Avenue in Haines Township, Centre County, for a report of an unresponsive male who was outside of a residence.
Upon arrival, troopers discovered the victim, Robert William Farwell, had suffered a stab wound. EMS personnel were providing life saving measures to the victim as troopers arrived. The victim was later transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, where he was pronounced dead, according to District Attorney Bernie Cantorna.
