A purple powder seized in Port Elgin four months ago is a mixture including Fentanyl and Etizolam – potentially deadly drugs.
The results of Centre of Forensic Sciences analysis were announced in a Jan.7 news release by Saugeen Shores Police Service (SSPS) that said a baggy of unknown powder, brass knuckles and two airsoft pistols were seized during a suspicious person call/weapons investigation in Port Elgin Aug. 28.

Members of the Almaguin Highlands detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the South River Machar Fire Department, the Laurier Fire Department and Parry Sound Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a sudden death involving two people at about 9:30 am Friday in Laurier Township.

The Investigation revealed that a 22-year-old female and a 23-year-old male died sometime during the night. The cause of death is still under investigation, but public safety is not a concern and foul play is not suspected.

Thunder Bay – NEWS – Christopher William BOUCHER, 41, of Thunder Bay has been charged with Break and Enter. The arrest came as a result of evidence collected by Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Patrol Support Callback (PSC) Unit, from an October break in, and continued investigative efforts, led to the arrest of a suspect Wednesday.
Police were made aware on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 of a break in that occurred at a business in the 100 block of South Hardisty Street. The break and enter was believed to have taken place between the afternoon of Tuesday, October 6 and the early morning hours of Wednesday. October 7, 2020.
