View Comments MIDDLETOWN - A motorcyclist was struck and killed by a pickup truck at the intersection of Center Avenue and Thompson Avenue Tuesday afternoon, police said. At approximately 1:28 p.m., Middletown police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the Leonardo section of the township, according to Deputy Chief Paul Bailey. The motorcyclist, who was not immediately identified, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, Bailey said. A passenger on the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was taken by police to Hackensack Meridian Health Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City for treatment.
