Police seek tips after Central Lubbock hit-and-run crash

Police on Thursday announced they re seeking the public s help in identifying those responsible for a hit-and-run crash that left a woman injured last month in Central Lubbock.
Officers were called about 11:20 p.m. June 24 to Broadway and Avenue S for reports of a hit-and-run, according to a statement from police.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim, 39-year-old Amy Adkins, with moderate injuries. She was taken by ambulance to University Medical Center with moderate injuries.
The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit has been investigating the crash.
Through the initial course of the investigation, it appears Adkins was walking westbound in the 1800 block of Broadway when a silver SUV, which was also traveling in the westbound lanes, struck Adkins. Lubbock County grand jurors indicted a Lubbock teenager arrested in connection with the deadly shooting of a 14-year-old boy during a drug robbery at a Central Lubbock Apartment.
Grand jurors also indicted two people who police investigators believe sold marijuana out of the apartment unit that was the target of the botched robbery.
Mifford Hannon III, is charged with murder in the June 9 shooting death of Dequavion Traylor at the Ella Apartments in the 1100 block of 58th Street.
Jakhydryon Nhrius Cheatham, 18, and Christopher Trevino, 24, are charged with a state jail felony count of possession of between 4 ounces to 5 pounds of marijuana.
Final suspect in Lubbock teen s shooting death surrenders to police
Lubbock police officials said Wednesday that the final suspect in a June 9 fatal shooting at a Central Lubbock apartment complex has surrendered to authorities and is in custody.
The 16-year-old boy is the last of seven teenagers arrested in connection with the shooting death of 14-year-old Dequavion Traylor during a drug rip at the Ella Apartments in the 1100 58th Street.
All seven are facing a charge of murder for their roles in the shooting. The ages of the suspects range from 15-17 years old.
Lubbock police Sgt. Justin Anderson said the final suspect was apprehended at an attorney s office in Lubbock.
