Hawke s Bay representatives might make up one-fifth of the group helping leading the Three Waters reform, but Wairoa mayor Craig Little still worries areas like his might get left behind.
Relating to how councils manage drinking water, wastewater and stormwater, the Three Waters Steering Committee includes 15 local government sector members, who have been nominated by Local Government New Zealand and Taituarā.

What s possibly more astonishing is that the year of leaks is not even unusual.
Hawke s Bay Today has taken numerous calls, particularly from Havelock North residents, over summer, concerned about water running down roadways from burst and leaky pipes.

Hawke s Bay residents have been reminded to have a plan of action for earthquakes following a spate of moderate shakes across the region.
The most recent tremor, a 4.3 magnitude shake, rocked the centre of the North Island on Thursday morning after a small, slow slip event on the Hikurangi subduction zone offshore of Cape Kidnappers.
