Print A Costa Mesa man pleaded guilty Friday to charges related to an assault that occurred in May at a Newport Beach 7-Eleven. According to court records, Danny Martin Loros, 65, was sentenced to six months in jail and two years of probation after Loros pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm reduced from a previous felony charge and a felony charge of violation of civil rights causing violent injury. A previous felony sentencing enhancement for a hate crime was also stricken, according to court records. Loros was arrested in May by the Newport Beach Police Department after allegedly throwing a liquor bottle at the owner of the 7-Eleven on Balboa Boulevard when he was asked to leave the business.
