We may not be able travel for pleasure overseas any time soon but, for now, we can expand our horizons closer to home and help to kickstart the local tourism industry that has been so badly mauled by this year’s COVID-19 crisis.

Supporting positive ageing in Central Goldfields
Community members are invited to provide input into the Central Goldfields Positive Ageing Strategy 2021-2026, which aims to identify how Council will deliver services that support our older residents to age healthily, feel connected and enjoy an age-friendly community.
Central Goldfields Shire Mayor Cr Chris Meddows-Taylor said the development of the Positive Ageing Strategy builds on Council’s commitment to better meet the needs and aspirations of the Central Goldfields growing older population.
“Central Goldfields has long been an attractive place for older people to live and retire, with 28.2 percent of the region’s population aged 65 years and above.
