Date Time Police charge six after investigations into graffiti attacks across Sydney rail network Police have charged six people following an investigation into significant graffiti damage of trains, rail carriages and infrastructure across the Sydney rail network. In May 2021, officers attached to the Police Transport and Public Safety Command’s Proactive Crime Team North/Central established Strike Force Wolstoneholme to investigate eight property damage offences between February and July this year across the Sydney rail network. Following extensive investigations, officers executed five search warrants at homes at Marrickville, Ultimo, Petersham and Redfern yesterday (Thursday 29 July 2021). Officers were assisted throughout the operation by the Dog and Mounted Unit, Redfern Region Enforcement Squad (RES) and Central Metropolitan Region Operations Support Group (OSG).

A man who allegedly punched a police horse at Sydney s anti-lockdown protest will be kept behind bars after refusing to take a Covid-19 test. Kristian Pulkownik, 33, allegedly struck NSW Police horse Tobruk in the nose as his rider was managing thousands of protesters who marched in the city s CBD last Saturday as part of the Rally 4 Freedom march .  He d been hit with a string of charges including affray, committing an act of cruelty upon an animal, and breaching a Covid-19 restriction.  Pulkownik was set to appear via video link at the Central Local Court on Thursday morning but Magistrate Mark Richardson told the court he couldn t leave his cell due to his refusal to have a Covid swab, the ABC reported.

Advertisement The lawyer for a protester accused of striking a police horse during the Sydney anti-lockdown march claims his client has the support of an MP and says his mother is “worried sick” about him being in custody. Lawyer Tony Nikolic said on Tuesday he has been unable to speak to Kristian Pulkownik, who he has been told is being held in the cells at Surry Hills police station. Kristian Pulkownik, pictured, has been charged with affray, joining or continuing in an unlawful assembly, committing an act of cruelty upon an animal and not complying with a noticed direction in relation to COVID-19.
