Starting Monday, July 12, the Little Rock VA is tightening up restrictions on its visitation policy as the Delta variant spreads rapidly in the state.
Chris Durney, Public Affairs Officer at Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, described it as a difficult decision to make but one that had to be done to protect veterans and frontline workers. The numbers were going down for a while and then when they started to double and started to double again, that gets our attention immediately, he said.
According to Durney, all facilities in the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System will transition to an elevated alert starting July 12.
