Wake up in The Kentish Hotel Said to hold New Zealand’s longest continuous liquor licence, the Kentish Hotel was built in 1851. The two-storey, wooden hotel has 10 historic rooms, with the choice of singles, twins and queens. You’ll have to share the amenities and might be kept up until midnight with the lively bar and bands downstairs, but it has a great atmosphere and is part of New Zealand’s heritage. Bar walls display many historical images.

@an alias - You are right about labour. But Anne Tolley is former National. (A former MP and therefore, close friend of Labour).
If Anne Tolley was just to steady the ship. It would be going down a pathway to destruction. That’s where they were headed. Cost cutting first and foremost. Rates increases we discuss later. No rates increases before cutting the budget to essential core services only.

That the Council are trying to DRIVE SMALL BUSINESS OUT OF Tauranga. When RATES go up by 22 percent, the landlords will just pass it on to their tenants!! OH and when the leases come up for renewal, the tenants will walk away !! The landlords will be left with properties that they cannot lease out !! RESULT, eventually the value of the properties will FALL and the rates will do likewise !!
