ROCKLAND The Rockland Public Library presents Stuart Kestenbaum Thursday, July 22, at 6:30 p.m. in-person and via Zoom. This event is free and open to all.
The former Maine Poet Laureate will read selections of his work, including from his latest collection, “Things Seemed to Be Breaking,” featuring poetry drawn from black-out images. After the reading, Kestenbaum will answer questions and talk about his creative process. Former US Poet Laureate Ted Kooser has written, “Stuart Kestenbaum writes the kind of poems I love to read, heartfelt responses to the privilege of having been given a life. No hidden agendas here, no theories to espouse, nothing but life, pure life, set down with craft and love.”
