Dave Iuli has committed to Oregon, he tells Ducks Digest.
Iuli chose Oregon over USC, Washington, Cal, and Oklahoma. The 6-foot-4, 324-pound guard attends Puyallup High School, less than 40 miles from Seattle, and plays on both sides of the trenches.
Once the dead period ended, Iuli made official visits to Oregon State, Cal, Oregon, and USC. He told Ducks Digest after his visit that he built a strong bond with Alex Mirabal and Mario Cristobal, as well as the players. I just love the people and the environment the love that I got from a lot of people and the love that I got from a lot of coaches and players, Iuli said. I know I’m going to get that everywhere, but Eugene just felt a little bit different.
Tyler Booker has committed to Alabama.
Booker released a top five this spring that featured Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Oregon and Ohio State.
Booker (6-foot-5, 320 pounds), joins an evolving Crimson Tide recruiting class that was ranked No. 16 in SI All-American s 2022 team recruiting rankings released at the beginning of the month. The Tide already hold commitments from Elite 11 Finalist quarterback
Ty Simpson as well as in-state prospect
Emmanuel Henderson, one of the top running backs in the 2022 cycle.
Ducks Digest covered Booker s official visit to Oregon last month in tandem with SI All-American and it looked like the Ducks had a real chance to shake things up following the visit.
Michael Wooten,
Cameron Williams.
Williams narrowed his finalists to Oregon, Texas and Oklahoma and Ducks Digest caught up with the new Ducks pledge to get the low down on his commitment.
So why was it Oregon? The coaching staff was amazing when I went on the visit and has been amazing since, Williams told Ducks Digest.
Part of what made the staff so amazing in the eyes of the hulking 6-foot-7 offensive tackle is the effort the staff put in to make him feel like a priority. It took a whole team effort to give the Ducks the edge, but clearly it paid off.
George Fitzpatrick will announce his decision Friday at 1:30 p.m. PST.
Fitzpatrick, a 6-foot-6, 280-pound offensive tackle, attends Cherry Creek High School in the Denver metro area in Colorado. He helped Cherry Creek win back-to-back 5A state titles in 2019 and 2020, and he was a key piece to the Bruins rushing attack that averaged 191.9 yards on the ground per game, according to MaxPreps.
He had a busy summer of official visits, making trips to Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, Oklahoma, and Oregon. He is one of the most highly-coveted players in Colorado, with an offer sheet exceeding 30 schools, including eight from the Pac-12.
Landon Hullaby and
Stephon Johnson. Texans make up a quarter of Oregon s 2022 class so far.
Williams attends Duncanville High School in Duncanville, Texas, which ranks as the No. 4 high school team in Texas, according to the MaxPreps top 25. His commitment is a huge win for the Ducks because his hometown of Duncanville is three hours north of Austin and three hours south of Norman, Okla.
The addition of Williams is also impressive as Steve Sarkisian has helped Texas surge in the recruiting trail in 2022. The Longhorns currently have the No. 9 class in the nation, according to the SI All-American top 25, and Oklahoma ranks right behind them at No. 10, good for the top two recruiting classes in the Big 12.
