Manchester Crown Court (Crown Square) TWO teenagers left a man for dead after repeatedly attacking him in the street following an argument over a cigarette, a court heard. 44-year-old Paul Cunliffe was left with such severe head injuries a passer by who called an ambulance was unable to describe to a telephone operator how old he was following the assault on School Street in the Pimhole area of Bury on July 24 last year. 18-year-old Kain Corrigan, who was aged 17 at the time of the offence, and a 16-year-old, who was aged 15, and cannot be named for legal reasons, both appeared at Manchester Crown Court for sentencing after pleading guilty to a Section 18 Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) charge.
