Rescuing Sex-Trafficking Victims: ‘It’s Worth It If We Can Save One Life’ HOUSTON Sex traffickers can be anyone, according to Lt. Michael Landrum of Texas’s Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. “You name it. You got everywhere from billionaires to street criminals,” he said. “We’ve seen everything you can think of: husbands, brothers, friends, grandfathers, neighbors, unknowns that they met online.” Landrum heads up the county’s narcotics, vice, and human trafficking unit. The unit is also part of the Houston-based Human Trafficking Rescue Alliance. Landrum has worked on anti-sex trafficking operations for seven years, and over that time, the approach has changed markedly.

6 murders occurred in Sioux City in 2020, 2 of those cases remain open Unmute While arrests have been made in four of those murders, two of them remain open. The first open case is the shooting death of 27-year-old Brian Henderson. He was shot Nov. 1 outside Club Esquire on West 7th Street. Henderson died three weeks later from injuries sustained in the shooting. The second case is the killing of Pastor Daniel Harden. The pastor was found dead on Dec. 1 in the Park Place apartments on Douglas Street. Police say he had been dead for about a week and showed signs of blunt force trauma.

The Super Bowl is over, but four Wisconsin health care workers are still celebrating.  The four health care workers from Bellin Health got to attend Super Bowl LV in Tampa Bay.  The lucky employees included Dr. Michael Landrum, nurses Jessie Schaumberg and Jessica Landry, and respiratory therapist Lucy Bellerud. The health care guests were invited to recognize their unwavering commitment to their community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. They were part of 7,000 health care workers invited to the big game in Tampa by the NFL.
