Early on, it was confirmed Force would be moving away from New York with Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) launching his own enterprises elsewhere.
His final scene in Power saw him skipping town following the death of his brother-in-arms James ‘Ghost’ St Patrick (Omari Hardwick) after witnessing his murder.
From a narrative perspective, Tommy has cut ties with New York after he turned up in Book II and tried to kill Tasha St Patrick (Naturi Naughton) and also Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr) in their efforts to frame him for Ghost s murder.

Power franchise recently received death threats from Alkaline’s Vendetta fans after he made a series of IG Story posts from a separate account comparing the
Champion Boy and the Worl’ Boss Vybz Kartel.
Best known for his role as Tariq St. Patrick on the hit TV show, which is executive-produced by rapper 50 Cent, Rainey Jr. got Alkaline’s IG fans riled up when he posted a pic of the deejay from his Ardenne High School days with the caption, “Kartel Was Running Road When This Pic Was Taken N This N a Think Him And Kartel A Size,” with a few laughing emojis.

Power Book II is centred on Tariq St Patrick (played by Michael Rainey Jr) and mum Tasha St Patrick (Naturi Naughton), who went to prison to protect her son from being locked up for the murder of her ex-husband James Ghost St Patrick (Omari Hardwick).
Tariq quickly got into bed with drug queenpin Monet Tejadas (Mary J Blige) so he could sell drugs on his campus to pay for his mum s top lawyer.
Not too long after season one began, Starz renewed the series for a second season.
The cast and crew have reunited with filming well underway for these new episodes.
Barris Rothstein and
Hale Rothstein have signed on to write the script and executive produce the series.
This is not the first time Kenya Barris has signed on to work with Netflix on a project. Most recently, he led the series, Black AF, with Rashida Jones. Beyond Netflix, he has helped put together the upcoming comedy,
Coming 2 America. Not to mention, he continues to work on the Black-ish franchise that now includes
Mixed-ish and
Grown-ish.
Jackson is also building his name in the world of Hollywood. After putting together a legendary run in music, he has started a successful run in television. Most notably, he turned his hit series,

Is Power Book 5 still going ahead?
Power Book II: Ghost was the first of the new series to come out, focusing on Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr) and Tasha St Patrick (Naturi Naughton).
The next will be Power Book III: Raising Kanan, which will be the only prequel of the four, set in the 1990s and delving into Kanan Stark s (Curtis Jackson) childhood.
Influence was originally called Power Book IV as it was going to be the next show in line to be released.
This changed in August last year though as Force, Tommy Egan s (Joseph Sikora) spin-off was bumped up, pushing Influence s potential release date down.
