The Victorian government has appointed Michael McNamara to lead the state’s new digital transformation agency.
The government announced it would establish Digital Victoria in the budget late last year, with the aim of centralising and simplifying information technology services across the government.
McNamara has held the role of chief information officer at Services Australia since January 2019, and has enabled the agency to deliver online services to millions of Australians during COVID-19. Prior to that, he has worked for ANZ, the Commonwealth Bank, and a number of energy companies.
