Meanwhile, Gympie is hosting a match between the Cats and Bay Power, and Bulldogs has a bye. Eagles Kayla Osborn is ready run back onto the field, donning the blue and yellow after having a baby. She said the team was excited to be back and taking on Bombers in Round 1, having already played a trial match.
Three Men and a Baby begins with too many characters and too much plot, and 15 minutes into the film I was growing restless. It spends a lot of time describing the lifestyles of three bachelors - Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson - who share a luxury apartment and play host to a never-ending stream of girlfriends. We meet too many of the girlfriends, and too many of their friends. And then it s the morning after Selleck s big birthday bash, and on the doorstep outside their apartment is a basinette containing a little baby named Mary. From that point on, the movie finds its rhythm, and it works.
February is celebrated as Black History Month and this February, the
Anglican Journal makes note of that tradition by turning its attention to Black and African Christians inside and outside of the Anglican Church of Canada.
Journal spoke with Lutheran and United Church of Canada leaders who have worked to disconnect words like “dark” and “black” from evil and “light” and “white” from goodness. We look again to the United Church as we report on a public conversation between its general secretary, the Rev. Michael Blair, and National Indigenous Anglican Archbishop Mark MacDonald about how the church can decolonize itself around issues affecting Black Canadian Christians, including theology grants and the creation of an African-Canadian theological institution.
