Abstract:
Academic honesty is a serious concern for many educators in higher education institutions. The rise of access to information via the Internet increased student temptation and ability to copy content into work increased at a high rate, where the International Center for Academic Integrity reported astounding statistics for academic honesty issues based on survey data from 2002 to 2015. Of the 71,300 undergraduate respondents, 39% admitted to cheating on tests, 62% admitted to cheating on written assignments and 68% cheated on either tests or written work.
