It was a parade like no other Thursday in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. With precautions in place, family, friends and neighbors lined Alexa Morell’s street. She was returning from her 12th and final round of chemotherapy at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for stage 4 colon cancer. “I was bawling. OCEAN CITY – A discussion on broadband infrastructure, hospitality challenges and education funding highlighted a roundtable discussion last week with Maryland Senate Minority Leader Bryan Simonaire.
On Dec. 11, State Senator Mary Beth Carozza hosted a roundtable discussion with special guests Simonaire and State Senator Doug Peters to hear about Worcester County’s challenges and priorities.
“I thought this would be an outstanding opportunity for you to basically show off District 38, show off Ocean City and all of Worcester County,” she told local leaders last week. “This is our opportunity to shine.”

SOUTH RANGE Robert Hudson of South Range, Michigan, passed away on December 8 peacefully at home after a brief, covid related illness. He was born in Manistee, Michigan, on August 22, 1945, the son of Lt. Col. Robert and Bettigail Hudson, who both preceded him in death.
Robert was a graduate of Michigan Technological University. After a brief career in the U.S. Army as a warrant officer helicopter pilot in Vietnam, Bob settled in the Houghton area where he became a life long resident where he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was employed by the Adams Township Water Department where he served as water superintendent. Bob was a member of the VFW and a lifetime member of Trout Unlimited
