(Photo by Alan Tangcawan) April 14, 2021 TO guide local government units in setting up efficient vaccination centers, the Visayas Vaccination Operations Center (VVOC) launched a community vaccination plan manual on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the Oakridge Studio in Mandaue City.
The manual is written by Melquiades Feliciano, a retired military general and National Task Force against Covid-19 deputy chief implementer for Visayas.
During the launch, Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Secretary Michael Dino said that the manual was written according to the guidelines set forth by the National Government, with the guidance of the Department of Health 7, and in collaboration with Project Balik Buhay.

CEBU CITY For a smoother and more systematic vaccination rollouts, mayors in Cebu were provided with COVID-19 vaccination manuals.
The manual was authored by retired Major Gen. Melquidas Feliciano, the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF)-Visayas Chief Implementer.
“This handbook will somehow enhance the existing program of the local government units (LGUs),” said Feliciano.
Feliciano, Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (OPAV) Secretary Michael Dino, Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia, and Department of Health-Central Visayas (DOH Region 7) Director Dr. Jaime Bernadas led the distribution of the manuals to at least 40 mayors from Cebu at the Visayas COVID-19 Vaccination Operations Center (VVOC) Wednesday.

+ April 10, 2021 THE Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (Opav) has denied allegations that the first batch of health care workers (HCWs) deployed to the National Capital Region (NCR) Plus was forced or “left with no choice,” the same allegations the Department of Health (DOH) 7 also categorically denied.
“Looks like there’s a deliberate attempt to embarrass and malign the efforts of Visayas and also insult our HCWs (health care workers) and frontliners who willfully, bravely and heroically went to NCR Plus to serve our brothers and sisters there,” said Jonji Gonzales, Opav Undersecretary.
“Our heroic doctors and nurses are of legal age and mature enough to say ‘yes’ or say ‘no’ to the deployment,” he said.
