The Coast Guard says it rescued two men whose boat broke down off the Dry Tortugas.
The wife of one man called Key West watch standers to report that Patrick and Michael Cusick failed to come home last night.
A search plane and cutter were dispatched and the two men were quickly found. They had been adrift for almost 24 hours by the time they were rescued. The Coast Guard says the Cusicks were dehydrated and seasick, but otherwise okay. The men were rescued because they told someone where they were going and when they were supposed to be back, said Chief Petty Officer Luis Garcia, operations unit, Sector Key West. The men also fired off flares when they saw the plane, which ensured we d find them quickly.
