It rose quarter-on-quarter from 104.7% in December last year to 112.6% in March this year.
Pension assets continued to grow in the first quarter of this year with a positive return of almost 4%, while corporate bonds rebounded to move away from the 0% mark. As a result, pension obligations fell by 3.6%, WTW said.
This led companies’ balance sheets to reach their healthiest level since the introduction of the WTW pension fund index.
Adam Casey, head of corporate retirement consulting at WTW in Zurich, said that Pensionskassen recorded average returns of 20% as of 31 March this year.
“The main reason for the generally strong improvement in pension positions on corporate balance sheets over the past year is the remarkable recovery [of the value] of assets since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic that resulted in a decline in assets at the beginning of 2020,” he said.

Beverly Waterford Squad was on scene as well. A summons is being requested for Devon Lee Taylor, 18, on a charge of disorderly conduct.
¯ A deputy began an investigation April 6 into vehicles being entered in Grandview Township and items removed. This case remains under investigation.
¯ A deputy responded Thursday to Main Street, Lowell, to a report of domestic violence at this location. Colton Ishmael was outside and stated he and a woman were fighting and it was no big deal. Deputies observed blood on Ishmael’s knuckles.

For more than 100 years, the Utah Pantages Theatre has stood on Salt Lake City’s 100 South block of Main Street no longer a city block, but a chopping block for the Utah Theatre and neighboring local businesses.
This particular axe will likely take the form of a deal between the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City, which owns the land, The Hines Group and The LaSalle Group. On the theater’s resting place, the developers propose building a 31-story glass monolith another tower of high-rise apartments which would cannibalize some of the theater’s historic remains for its design as a way of preserving them.
