Thanks to a multi-pronged effort, emergency personnel were able to rescue a man from the Lake Erie bluffs south of Merlin on Tuesday afternoon.
Crews responded to Talbot Trail, near Merlin Road, to a report of an individual in crisis, Chatham-Kent police said. Officers followed his footprints in the snow, which led to the edge overlooking the lake.
