As the crowned jewel of the 2023 class, the eyes of Texas, and head coach Steve Sarkisian, are on Isidore Newman pro-style quarterback Arch Manning.
“I think (the Longhorns) are going to get it going in the next few years and I’m excited to see what they can do, Manning said. Obviously, he’s a freak of a coach with what he did at Alabama and the Falcons and everywhere else. He knows how to coach quarterbacks. He’s actually just a real nice guy and really laid back and I like him a lot.”

The Sportsman’s Corner: Don’t get bugged

With the arrival of warmer weather, spending more time outdoors is what we all would like to do. There are, however, some insects that are also part of the spring environment and that target us. One that shows up every May is the black fly. A black fly or blackfly (regional names include buffalo gnat, turkey gnat, black gnat or white socks) is any member of the family
Simuliidae of the Culicomorpha infraorder. Here is a list of some things that you can do to help protect yourself.
First, avoid black fly-infested areas during daytime periods of peak adult activity. That, of course, defeats the purpose of enjoying our time outdoors. You can schedule outdoor activities during mid-day hours, when black flies (gnats) are usually not as active. Stay indoors on warm, cloudy, humid summer days and before summer thunderstorms, when gnats are most aggressive.
