$400,000 in New Cars Stolen from Car Dealership in Valley

Alabama News Alabama law enforcement officers are looking for a thief or thieves who stole seven new vehicles from a car dealership in Valley. Valley Police Maj. Mike Reynolds said officers were called Monday to King Ford Auto dealership about a burglary. The dealership is just off Interstate 85 at exit 77. Employees arriving found the business had been broken into and seven vehicles were missing from the lot. Al.com reports the vehicles were valued at more than $400,000. No injuries in College Avenue fire in city of Houghton | News, Sports, Jobs

Houghton Daily Mining Gazette HOUGHTON There were no injuries in a house fire on College Avenue in Houghton Sunday night. The fire is reported to have started in the kitchen area, said Mike Reynolds, chief of the Houghton Fire Department. Firefighters arrived on scene at about 5:30 p.m. and saw smoke coming out of the eaves, said Reynolds. “We actually tried to take an interior tack, but there was so much clutter in the house that we couldn’t get in,” he said. The house is believed to be a total loss. Traffic was closed on College Avenue at Prospect Street until the road was reopened around 12 a.m., the Michigan Department of Transportation said.
