Albany, N.Y. New York’s four state-licensed casinos could seek a tax break this year but to do so they would have to prove they are suffering financially. And a consultant hired by the state believes they should have to explain what the casino operators would use the tax savings for.
The proposal for potential casino tax breaks is tucked deep in Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s 2021-22 budget plan. It calls for letting the rate fall to as low as 25 percent for slot machine revenue if casinos can explain their financial stability without the break and provide “a complete examination of all financial projections.”

On the one hand, that would be a mean move on Sega s part if that were true.
It s not mean anymore than it was mean when Ryan Drummon was replaced by Jason Griffith, or when Jason Griffith was replaced by Roger Craig Smith.
Sonic the Hedgehog simply has a history of being recast when it comes to his English voice, going even further back to Jaleel White & Martin Burke (neither of which did any video games for the character), and while it does suck for Smith (who I haven t heard a ton of in the role, but was definitely really good), I m sure he knew that this moment was eventually going to come at some point. At the very least, he can pride himself in being the English voice of Sonic for the longest period of time ever.
Who doesn t like to make a smart investment? When it comes to classic cars, what could give you a warmer glow than the pleasure of driving and owning the car of your dreams and the knowledge that, further down the road, you were able to sell it for more than you paid for it?
But making a move before others have seen an opportunity requires more than good old-fashioned gut instinct.
You need to be abreast of market trends, and that s where organisations such as Hagerty can do a lot of the legwork for you.
America s leading automotive insurer and lifestyle brand has a substantial foothold on the UK market and tracks the values of classic cars and modern-classic cars of all shapes and sizes.
Salida City Council approved transfer and conveyance of real property located at the corner of M Street and W. Third Street to the Chaffee Housing Authority after a public hearing at its regular meeting Tuesday.Â
The area is to be used in the development of six affordable housing units, for sale or rent, to households earning at or below 80 percent of the Area Median Income.Â
Council had already rezoned the area to R-2 medium density residential district and vacated a portion of Crestone Avenue.Â
Council member Mike Pollock was the only dissenter. He said he supports the Chaffee Housing Trust and said it was a good project. However, he said, âI like this project, but I think it could have been a little simpler.âÂ
