WATERFORD HAVE SOUGHT to quell speculation over Kevin Sheedy’s future at the club, with the former Republic of Ireland international insisting that he hasn’t quit his role as manager.
Earlier today, reports emerged locally which claimed that Sheedy and assistant boss Mike Newell have departed the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division outfit after just six games in charge.

Five games and one win will never tell the tale that any manager wants to write – especially a first time senior head coach.
Previous stints with Tranmere Rovers, Everton U18’s and Al-Shabab youths are a very different experience to being the head coach at Waterford FC.
The Italia 90 goal scorer is now front and centre, albeit at a social distance with empty stands at the Kilbarry venue and no Block E to provide the soundtrack.

TORONTO, Canada Waking the Red is delighted to share that we will be teaming up with the Toronto FC BIPOC Fan Coalition ahead of the 2021 Major League Soccer season. The partnership will aim to build a diverse landscape and promote voices of minorities within the Toronto FC community.
