There s A Formula For Media Coverage Of Georgia s Election Bill, And We Broke It Down

Font Size: There’s a bit of a formula when it comes to how most of the media is covering the Georgia election bill. First, state flatly the bill “restricts” voters. Then, list several new elements of the law, some of which have nothing to do with actual restrictions on voting. The “restrictions,” according to the press, include Georgia’s new regulations regarding voter ID for absentee ballots, making drop boxes permanent and banning “line-warming” within 150 feet. Across the board, story structure appears to be formulaic: The New York Times: “Georgia Republicans on Thursday passed a sweeping law to restrict voting access in the state, introducing more rigid voter identification requirements for absentee balloting, limiting drop boxes and expanding the Legislature’s power over elections.”

Lying and voting - The Citizen

President Biden even said the new law was worse than Jim Crow and was in fact “Jim Eagle”. Not really sure about that word choice, but maybe he isn’t either. The point is that Democrats and Leftists are seizing on this bill to mount their all too typical, bad faith attack not just on Republicans, but on our dear state and our nation in general.
