Randle, Knicks beat Celtics to clinch No. 4 seed in East

NEW YORK (AP) Usually at home when the playoffs start, the New York Knicks will be on their home court this time.
Julius Randle capped his All-Star season with 20 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, and the Knicks beat the Boston Celtics 96-92 on Sunday to clinch the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference.
RJ Barrett scored 22 points for the Knicks, who won their third straight to finish 41-31 and earn home-court advantage for a first-round series with the Atlanta Hawks. The Knicks are headed to the postseason for the first time since winning the Atlantic Division title in 2012-13.

BOSTON After losing Rob Williams at halftime, Celtics coach Brad Stevens said he didn’t know what to expect from his starting center for the remainder of the season.
Williams, who has been battling turf toe, felt good enough to start and play 11 first-half minutes. But the painful ailment became too much to play through and the Celtics’ ruled him out for the second half. He’s likely headed for a permanent spot on the team’s injury report for the remainder of the season.
An EF-0 Tornado touched down in Kent County on Saturday

WEST MICHIGAN â Believe it or not folks, a weak EF-0 tornado touched down in West Michigan on Saturday! This was confirmed by the National Weather Service early Sunday evening based on a ground investigation of damage.
Where did it occur? It happened in the Preservation Lakes subdivision in Gaines Township in southern Kent County. This is south of Cutlerville and east of Byron Center. The tornado was on the ground only briefly between 4:18 and 4:19 P.M. The path length was 0.5 miles long and the path width was 65 yards.
TMF Group acquires U.S.-based fund administration firm

Fund administrator TMF Group acquired U.S. fund administration firm Venture Back Office on Thursday, a TMF spokesman said.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. TMF Group s assets under administration have increased to €150 billion ($176.3 billion) following completion of the deal, while the firm also expanded its access into North America.
Venture Back Office provides administration services to private equity, real assets and credit funds and has $20 billion in assets under administration. The U.S. market is particularly important for the group as it is home to 60% of the world s private equity market, Jan Willem van Drimmelen, head of North America at TMF, said in a news release.
