Submission ace Charles Oliveira takes on former Bellator kingpin Michael Chandler in the main event to determine a new champion. Oliveira enters the fight as the UFC’s all-time leader in submission victories with 14, and he is also riding an eight-fight winning streak. Chandler earned this title opportunity with an impressive Octagon debut in which he scored a first-round knockout victory over Dan Hooker.

Mike Grundy Set to Come Back at UFC 262
Mike Grundy’s wrestling background would have been obvious to even the most casual fans who watched him face Damien Frankiewicz on the preliminary card of BAMMA 21.
Grundy charged Frankiewicz and took him down just 30 seconds into the first round. Relentless when on top, Grundy was able to easily shrug off a triangle attempt by his opponent. After successfully nullifying an attempt by his opponent to get back to his feet, Grundy slammed him straight back to the canvas and entered side control once again. He transitioned straight to an arm-triangle choke and ended the fight with a minute left in the first round.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. In Shreveport, Louisiana, Albuquerque amateur boxer Sharahya-Taina Moreu’s relentless body attack propelled her to a victory by split (3-2) decision on Friday over North Carolinian Stephanie Simon at the USA Boxing National Championships.
She’ll face Boston’s Arika Scoog on Saturday for the Elite Division title in the 152-pound weight class.
Moreu joins Las Cruces’ Ariana Carrasco as a finalist.
Carrasco advanced to the championship bout in the 141-pound Youth Division without having fought. With only three boxers entered in her weight class, Carrasco, the No. 1 seed, drew a bye and will face Ruby Navarro of Mission, Texas, for the title.
