When he won Top Rap Song, someone in the booth accidentally played the Post Malone and 21 Savage song.

It would have looked bad if he threw a tantrum when he was being honored.
C mon, this is a rookie mistake.
It wasn’t an accidental F-bomb, mispronunciation or wardrobe malfunction. When DaBaby won Top Rap Song for “Rockstar” with Roddy Ricch, beating out some huge records like “Savage” and “WAP,” the wrong song was played. As DaBaby accepted the award, someone behind the scenes played Post Malone and 21 Savage’s song from 2018 of the same name. DaBaby caught the error but took it in stride, saying, “It’s me, it’s me, I’ll live with that.”
IRL red carpet and awards acceptance segment for the most part.
With stars like Megan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly, P!nk and her kids as well as Nick and Priyanka Jonas to name a few turning heads on arrival, the night was overall a successful one, but like any live awards show, never short of a blunder or two.
And the blunder of the night goes to… the moment when DaBaby’s hit Rockstar featuring Roddy Ricch won Top Rap Song of 2021.
Coming up to receive his award, DaBaby was greeted by not his hit track, but the 2018 song by Post Malone of the same name. Yikes!
It can be tough for two rockstars to co-exist.
During Sunday night’s Billboard Music Awards, chart titan DaBaby picked up a major win for Top Rap Song for his Hot 100 topper “Rockstar” with Roddy Ricch. And the competition for the award including “Savage” and “WAP” was surely tough. But it was another rockstar who made himself known during DaBaby’s big moment, albeit accidentally: Post Malone.
As DaBaby accepted the award, the BBMAs accidentally played Post Malone and 21 Savage’s 2018 track “Rockstar.” As it played when he walked on the stage, DaBaby pointed at his new trophy and said, “It’s me, It’s me, I’ll live with that,” before working into his speech.
