New federal government data reveals how Australia s vaccine rollout is proceeding throughout different regions of the country.
The information shows the first and second dose rates for eligible people aged 15 years old and over, in different geographic areas in every state and territory as of August 2.
The data reveals that vaccine rollout is slowest in some of Australia s remotest and also economically disadvantaged regions.

For example, regions that have older populations are likely to have higher rates of vaccination than areas with many younger people.
