Bank Iowa Strengthens Senior Leadership Team with New Retail Banking Director: 15-year industry veteran Trisha Menke joins Iowaâs second-largest family-owned bank

Bank Iowa today announced it has hired Trisha Menke as retail banking director to oversee all branch administration and operations.
Menke, most recently a private banker at Great Western Bank, will join the senior leadership team guiding product development and implementation of competitive service offerings. She will also be responsible for driving efficient operations and regulatory compliance. Leading the training, coaching and feedback of branch personnel, Menke will help ensure a consistent Bank Iowa experience across branches.
Blair John Van Zetten
Oskaloosa, Iowa | Age 68
On Monday, January 18th, 2021, Blair J. Van Zetten, loving husband and father, passed away at age 68 at Honor Health, Shea Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ.
On June 24th, 1952, Blair was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa, to Marion and John Van Zetten.
Blair attended Culver Military Academy, and as he got older, he became a counselor for their summer camps. After graduating from Oskaloosa High School, he received his BA in Business at Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa.
Upon the death of his father in 1975, Blair took control of Oskaloosa Food Products.
On June 14th, 1975, Blair married Wendy A. Davis, of Syracuse, New York. Together, they raised three sons, Jason, Brandon, and Travis, in Oskaloosa.

Kalai Ponniah is a senior education management executive who has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of international education and cultural exchange. Throughout his career in higher education, he has taken on various important roles, including being an AVP of international education, director of international education, dean of law school, academic chair, and learning and education manager at a leading global audit firm. Prior to joining MSM and Eton College, Kalai was the AVP for International Education for Upper Iowa University for almost 10 years. One of the significant milestones in his career at Upper Iowa University was the launch of the Asia operations of Upper Iowa University, where he played a pivotal role in establishing new strategic directions to increase its international student base.
Peacocks Top Huskies in Season Opener
FAYETTE, IA The St. Cloud State University men s basketball team lost their season opener on the road at Upper Iowa University Saturday.
The two teams stayed close through much of the opening half, but Upper Iowa ran away with the lead in the final minutes to finish up 50-41.
The Peacocks built on that lead in the second half. Upper Iowa led St. Cloud State by as many as 27 points. The Huskies fought to close the gap at time expired but came up short 107-84.
